Founder
Influenced by her mother, Laura developed an interest in fashion as a child. The passion grew becoming an integral part of her life: after a first contact with a career in fashion in Brazil, Laura moved to London in search of new opportunities. Lasting over five years, the experience in the UK brought her professional contacts, a degree in Fashion Merchandising from London College of Fashion and a degree in Global Marketing Management from Regents Business School, work experience at Issa, Abercrombie & Fitch and Louis Vuitton.
Back to Brazil, she settled in São Paulo but kept on travelling around the globe as a consultant of Client Services for Burberry and then Buyer for Emilio Pucci, Jimmy Choo and Prada, developing her skills on products and increasing her network. Curious, detail-driven and with a refined eye for style, Laura knows well both the consumer behavior and preferences in the luxury market.
She leveraged her passion for fashion, merchandise expertise and more than 16 years career in international fashion markets as inspiration for founding Areia and working on developing the best of Brazilian fashion and selected foreign brands worldwide.
